Ben & Jerry’s is making a major statement in Australia. The beloved ice cream company announced last week that they are banning same-flavor scoops until same-sex marriage becomes legal in the country.

A Ben & Jerry’s Australia spokesperson told the Huffington Post in a statement that the “commitment is grounded in our company’s core values and a an unshakeable belief that everyone deserves full and equal civil rights.” The ice cream company is urging patrons to help set civil change in motion.
The company currently have 26 stores in the country, and hopes their no-same scoop campaign will help push the country towards LGBTQ rights.
